Why is it cheaper to book direct than via Booking or Airbnb?
Booking.com charges 15-18 % commission to the accommodation on every reservation. Airbnb charges between 3 % to the host and 14 % to the guest (variable). That commission goes to an intermediary company that isn't La Paredita. When you book direct, we cut out that margin: you pay less, we receive in full, and we spend the difference on looking after the house.
Do I get the same guarantees as on Booking or Airbnb?
Yes. Full cancellation refund up to 7 days before arrival (explicit policy on each reservation), secure payment via Stripe (same processor used by major hotels), automatic invoicing, direct contact with us 24/7, and all guarantees under Spanish Civil Code.
